Alex has been a practicing financial advisor for over 20 years and has worked with many of his clients for nearly that long. These long-term relationships are what drive Alex to do what he does every day and watching affluent clients achieve their long-term financial goals is the most rewarding thing about his role at the firm. His motivation in founding Ironwood was to build a practice that creates value and positive impacts for the clients he serves and he strives to echo this goal every day.
As a senior partner, Alex works with clients to make smart financial decisions based on pragmatics rather than emotion. He has always been fascinated by behavioral finance and the impact is has on financial decisions. Because of this, his focus is on an education-based approach to planning and he shares his “knowledge is power” mentality with the firm’s clients. He addresses clients’ financial questions in an understandable fashion, provides guidance that they can understand, and enjoys creating in-depth financial plans unique to each client’s specific goals.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and two amazing kids, traveling, cooking, watching NCAA basketball, attending concerts, and competing in BBQ festivals (ask him about his delicious baby back ribs!).
